Overview of Programs and Services

The goal of BioLaunch611+ KIZ is to help create and/or grow early-stage life sciences companies in our Zone. By leveraging the resources, skills and expertise of our 11 Partners as well as programs available through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, we can offer the following growth-promoting services.

Due diligence

Corporate development assistance
Each company’s needs are different! Vetted service providers who understand the needs of early stage companies, advice on strategy, help with business plan preparation, access to facilities and faculty through our academic partners, mentors, mini grants, introductions to potential corporate partners, skill-building seminars and workshops and more are available.

Investment preparation
We can help with SBIR grant writing, polishing your presentation skills and your elevator pitch, introductions to state-funded seed capital and early stage funds, angels and more.

Workforce development
Through BioLaunch611+, you can take advantage of subsidized student interns, customized business training plans, state-funded workforce development training, and direct access to college and university students, all of which can help build your company’s labor force.

Economic development
KIZ Companies are eligible for tax credits and other state business assistance programs. Additionally, BioLaunch611+ KIZ is developing and implementing a methodology to increase the supply of shared services/incubator/accelerator space in our tri-county Philadelphia North territory.
